Gregg Fukuhara founded this company based on the simple philosophy, "Whenever there 's a problem, find a solution and solve it.  There are no problems, only solutions."

Gregg’s professional career always involved solving problems, from working as a CPA for KPMG Peat Marwick and Moss Adams, specializing in telecommunications, to an extensive career with the State of California. While working at the State, he was able to work on every aspect of an IT project from being the business analyst, documenting the system requirements; to quality assurance testing; to managing software developers, to being project manager on IT projects; to overseeing IT project portfolios. The highlight of his IT career came when he successfully completed the ARRA project as project manager, by leading a team to develop a custom solution, under tight timeframes, for California to report their $85 Billion dollar ARRA allocation.

The culmination of all his state experience was tested when starting up the Statewide Technology Procurement Division that took over statewide telecommunication and IT project procurements from the Department of General Services (those functions where legislatively moved from the Department of General Services to the now Department of Technology, formerly the Office of the Chief Information Officer and the California Technology Agency). This included the procurements themselves, but also establishing policies, procedures, statute, budget, and HR functions. After successfully managing these functions for years, Gregg now takes this experience on a new journey with TIM TIOTE.

Those simple words are the key to TIM TIOTEs success.  The State of California needs more IT companies participating in the procurement process to get the best technology and value for each IT project.  But, the procurement process is so complex, time-intensive, and cost prohibitive that the same vendors keep on winning the contracts.  This does not help the State, as vendor resources are spread thin, and result in unsuccessful projects. 

TIM TIOTEs goal is to work with IT companies, educate them and help them succeed in winning IT contracts.  With over 35 years of professional experience including over 20 years in the State of California, which includes experience on over 50 large-scale state IT project procurements, TIM TIOTE brings a unique insight that companies don't have and that they need in order to be successful in this market.
